Yeah quick snapshots on the way to lunch... She wasn't prepared to take pictures, and was all "country girled" up!
But she's a trooper. We'd just finished a big ole' lunch down at a restaurant on the water, and driven back to my place just to take a couple of quick shots. So yeah, she's down for just about anything.
Finally had some sun, went for a long ride yesterday, well not too long cause I had some details at the office to take care of but still a perfect riding day. Low 70s, not a cloud in the sky, off I went...
Anyway, loving the Griso more with each mile. I found myself just perfectly content although having spent the last 6 years on a Hayabusa, I do find myself wishing for another oh... 60HP or so. But that is a fleeting want, the sound of that Termi, the Bright red paint, chronically neutral handling, and a comfy seating position, soon have me grinning so big my cheeks hurt.
Simply perfect... (ish) I really need to get the suspension sorted, I think the Compression is set to high even for my 240lbs.
At one point tooling around and gently applying the front brakes I thought I had squeezed a real goose... Brakes made a bizarre honk/horn noise briefly, thought maybe I was back on a peddle bike. All part of the bedding in process I suppose.
Going to swap out the bars for something a little more back and up... Just a little, and I'm on a mission to remove the OEM Signals and mirrors, find myself something more unique and attractive. Lastly, I want to get some passenger grab handles and engine guards. Gen mentioned that she'd love a back rest obviously so I am going to see how feasible that is... Something quick on and off would be a requirement...
Anyway, without further delay...
She insists that her hair isn't "cool" when it hasn't been flat ironed, and messed with. I argue that her hair looks fantastic freshly washed and unmolested...
She does actually ride and train horses, she used to compete as well... Though not western style, regardless of the hat and jeans implication. OH and the Fender Eliminator has done a great job of cleaning up the rear end.
Curiously once I had it started and idling she seemed to like sitting on it a whole lot more... Dunno why...
She's the second lady whose been on the bike now that just "loves" to be on the bike When it's idling...
I actually warmed to the whole Straw hat, and sandals look towards the end of the day, she somehow pulls it off...
Cheers,
Rev
