YZF-R1M isn't a high volume mass produced bike.
It's a limited run just like the H2 / H2R,
just aimed at a different market.

Hopefully though both brands with use the tech features in future mass production models ?

What will be interesting is if any of these bikes stay in one piece ?

From the days of the old Z1R-TC right up to the new BMW's it's not uncommon for models pushing
the limits to run into dramas when the general public get hold of them.

As for the gentlemans agreement. It has never meant much.
It was only ever a speed restriction not spec or horsepower.
It's easily been removed on every model you can think off.
Japs get to say they are behaving, public knows they can bin it.
