Is this normal?

I will try to explain this as best I can. I think it tends to be normal. I have an 06 with modded pipes and nothing else done. Still have the Pair on. the bike runs fine, idles fine, and pulls hard like it should. However if I come top a stop and I just gear down to slow myself down, once the rpms get below 2000 give or take, the bike chugs like I am in a higher gear. It is very noticeable also when in slow moving traffic. Let say I want to leave it in first and let the bike idle itself without giving it any gas or giving it very little gas, it does the same thing. Is this normal?

yes, another example would be running 25 MPH in 6th gear

generaly ,stock Busas prefer higher rpms than 3000 and they dont feel healthy enough mooving with less rpms.Try changing gears above 3500 so the next gear will be round 3000
