I'm not convinced

Hey guys, I've had a real problem with this kickstand and I'm not convinced that it's fixed. It works and gives me a good lean angle but when up it's awful close to the peg.

When I put it back to stock I pulled the Brocks track stand off and bought a used oem stand off ebay. I wanted to leave the original stand mount on the bike because I couldn't get to the switch connector.

When I put just the stand on the original mount it was clearly wrong, stuck way out.

I pulled the original mount off and found a stack of washers about a half inch high under the lower mount bolt. Pulled those out and it now sits as you see in the pictures.

Is it right now or did they also bend the original mount?

Can you see any cracks or anything that would signify an issue with the mount?

There are aftermarket foot pegs on it as well.

No, can't see any cracks and, comparing it to my other mount (the one from ebay) it doesn't look bent.

Yes, they are Buell pegs I'm told. I guess with oem pegs the stand would be farther from my foot?

If it looks solid with no cracks or issues, I'd not worry about it too much.

OK, I'll just replace the springs, they feel worn out, and quit worrying about it. Thanks!

the stand is usually close to peg when fould in

so why to change the springs? does the stand rattle while driving?

Looks like the kickstand mod may have been done too(which is good, some material ground out to let it swing further forward), but I can't get the picture big enough to tell for sure.

Yes, I did the mod before I put the stand on.

the so called stand mod is a trick (notch) to make the stand fould out more forward.

so, well done man - your busa will stand a bit more save

Yes, that's been done. Ground the notch in with a dremel
