WTF?!?

Harumpf....

Well...chalk this one up to a learning experience. We've all done it at least once. In my case, twice.

Or make that four times, if I believe correctly.

Do you have frame sliders ? They are worth the pain of cutting your plastic. My rule is : when on bike stand NEVER put the kickstand up and you'll never forget to put it down. Good thing is was only minor scratches .

Ive got a couple of really small scratches on my tank that i think got there from either my tank bag or the cover. They are way up on the tank so i know its certainly not a belt buckle scratch. No one ever notices em but for some reason they bug my ego.I might take it to a body shop to see how much it would cost to get em taken out.

So, I decided to adjust the suspension cause it was WAY loose for me, when I took it off the rear stand, I realized the kickstand was still up... it was too late. It fell on itsside. I slowed it enough nothing got cracked, just some real small scratches. I'm more pissed at myself than the bike is damaged.

Same exact them happened to me a couple years ago. All I suffered was a broken clutch handle and some very minor scrapes. Sorry that it happened to you too.

Just chalk it up Ben................... do not let it happen again, category....
wink.gif

Your most certainly not the frist to let this happen.............. and you can be sure you're not going to be the last either....

It sounds like you got away with minimum amount of damage.... so that's got to be a plus...........

Ben,

I've been there and done that. Sux! I think it happens to the best of us. Look at it this way, the bikes been down, so it has it out of its system now.

Glad it wasn't worse. I can't tell you how many times I wish my leg was longer so I could kick myself in the a$$ for some of the stupid things I've done!!!!

Could have been a lot worse. Now that THAT is out of your system, it shouldn't happen again.

That sucks! But, thankfully the damage wasn't serious. Consider yourself lucky, chalk it up to experience, then let it go. If it really bothers you a lot you know it *only* takes money to fix it.

Thanks for the post though. It's a good reminder for all of us who might find ourselves in the same situation.

you gettin' frame sliders?

3M's great!, glaze is a finishing product for shine though. depending on the depth of the scratch you'll want to use a 3M buffing product [fine or medium cut] and then/after use a glaze.

look at it this way, yeah it sux but atleast it was'nt worse.

Ben, atleast your bike didn't slam on the ground. A slow roll over isn't that bad, we will get it fixed.

Your on Busa probation as of today.

I know how you feel, man. Makes you wonder why sliders aren't designed into the bike .... Hope you get the scratches polished out of her.
