Nothing too serious. I have owned my Busa all of 5 days now, and this morning I started it up to go to work. As soon as I put it in gear, it died. Tried it a few more times, same thing. What the heck?!?! I go to get off the bike, and turns out I left my kickstand down. Cannot believe I did that! I don't think I have ever done that before.

As much as I have cursed those kill switches in the past...a clutch switch died on my old bike in Dec and kept me from riding home from work until I figured it out and just shorted the wires together. Well that kick stand kill switch saved me damage to my Busa and my pride this time.

Perhaps I need to start drinking coffee in the morning.

I take it you never owned a bike without a kickstand switch? I have, and I have ridden off with the kickstand down.

Its an interesting experience when you take a left and the kickstand touches down.

I have, but never tried to drive away with the stand down. Everyone is telling me it because I am getting old.

Yea, I don't get the purpose of a kickstand switch. I took it off my old zx9, after it started flaking on me.

I drove away and forgot about it numberous times, it just popped up with the first left turn. After a while I stopped worrying about kicking it up, and just let it happen.

Seriously whats the point of them? I have yet to take it off the busa, but I plan on it.

You can thank the safety nazis for it.
