Hello everyone,
I saw a little debate a while back about where exactly one should mount their HID kits.
I saw one picture (I can't remember which thread
that showed the two ballasts and igniters mounted in the cowl. I remember reading iceman saying that it's dangerous to mount the ballast in the cowl because the weight + heat can loosen the sticky tape and cause the ballast to call in the cowl causing damage.
Then I saw icemans post about mounting it to the ram air duct with hoover vacuum belts.
It only showed one ballast in that area.
Where would I go about mounting the second ballast? On the right ram duct?
I haven't pulled the bike apart yet to even check for myself if there was space on the right duct for the high ballast but I want to be as best prepared before I go in and just go in once.
Any help or pics would be grateful.
I've read the countless threads on hid set ups but most of the threads only showed one ballast with everyone saying there was no need for a high beam hid. I bought one so I hope to mount it
