I need some photoshop help

Is it possible to take the white background out of this picture? I'd like it to basically appear as though the background is transparent.

Clean up on isle 3.

When I tried to use 300's version it still showed up with a white background, and when I used KM's it shows up with the .org's background color. I love the clean look on yours KM.

I must be doing somthing wrong. I'm trying to use the image as a header graphic on a web site that I'm working on and I'd like to be able to see the page's background underneath it. None of the versions you guys did worked out that way. I'm glad I don't have to make a living doing this stuff!
