Hurricane crashes ashore in Texas

I went to bed last night with a little rain. I wake up and a hurricane passed over my house! Its now all passed and the rain has stopped. Boy you sure miss a lot while asleep!

Heh, I didn't even get rain in Conroe, what a wimp of a hurricane. Not that I wanted anyone hurt or properity damaged, but I expected more.

1 dead...100,000 w/o electricity. Just downgraded back to a tropical storm.

The one dead was hit by his carport when it fell.

Oops, one dead..... I retract my previous post. That sux, of all things, a car port falling would not be something I would associate with killing someone.

Last I remember, a coworker told me that we were gonna get some rain tonight.
I woke up with a phone call at 5am saying that we were under a hurricane.

Slept right thru it.

How did you make out? Seems mid and south county got hit very hard.

I did fine.
I was only out of power for a few hours.
I was out cable and internet for a day. That almost drove me crazy.
