Nice piece of work. I instantly thought Boostbysmith's flash interface with software, or PCIII...........either way, you've found a cure. MAN.....I was about to think that it's back to the dark ages.... :oldcool:

Spain is apparently thinking about the 100hp restriction too. Aren't there talks in the UK about restricting top speed for all bikes?

These crooked politicians should be forced to regulate themselves first.

I guess there could be a major problem for the rider in case of a bad accident. The insurance crooks, another bunch of crooks, would dig into it in order to avoid paying a claim no doubt.

With regards to the comment about the 600 vs. the Busa: yes the weight is there, but I think the max. torque value is affected little. There must have restricted the output at high rpm. I would much rather own a restricted 1340cc bike than a 600 for my type of riding (all around).

I guess that wire just restricts how far the secondary's butterflies open. Like with the ZX-14 on the france models they installed velocity stacks with a tiny little hole for air to get through.... So removing the velocity stacks fixed the problem. 100HP seems so retro- in some aspects. So if power is restricted by throttle body air flow alone.......improving flow can only make things better not worse. Good info.............ride safe.

I've seen the same question on the StarVmax site too, with people across the pond wanting to know how to get past the 100hp restriction. I can't even imagine having a new Gen 2 VMax limited to 100hp.

Those Euro countries should just mandate resurrecting BSA's 650 Lighting's and use only Lucas electrics.

That would solve all their worries then.

So are you trying to tell me that in order to really scramble some guys brain as to WTF happened to his bike all I have to do is install a single wire...??????:ehh:
Look at the good side..at least every time you go to reg your bike over there I guess you will get a free dyno run to make sure she is only at 100HP.....:poke::rofl:

Who's gonna regulate that ? Cops will have portable little dynos. Pull you over and make you spin the wheel to see HP......109hp..!!..Oh oh big ticket...:rofl:

You will have to replace the ECU with a US based unit. Simple, not cheap but what is needed.

how can I restrict the US busa to go past 187MPH, lol. This would be nice if we had it in the states, so I can get cheaper bike and insurance but pop a wire and back to 180

I disagree >>> :rulez: :poke:

Lets see  Is the Busa sort of preset and air flow is the restrictor? Air cleaner flapper? Subthrottle flapper? We dunt need no stink kin closed down velocity stacks is the "FULL" euro ECU is preset to run full power is wink-wink I took a razor to my velocity stack's doughnut holes. Who is in the way for a faster flow? It sure ain't, Dunkin' Doe Ray Me Fa So Latta Dough.

I just want to add that the remaining horse powers reveal them selfs after aprox 7000RPM, until that marker you can't "feel" any difference :)

There is a wire in the ECU harness that you need to disconnect. Not sure which one but I'm sure somebody will chime in.

Japan has the restriction for 100hp as well, you can order a bike with full HP in Japan but the factory in Japan has to build it then export it before you can import it back again and register it as a private import.
Cant buy direct from the factory.

If the Japs do this to get a full HP bike then it must be harder to mod the 100hp model than go through all this mess.
