as anyone who knows me will attest, I ride my own ride win or lose. My ego is not that big that I will risk my bike.
If he wins he wins -- I just wanna see it.
Im talking a 0-60 holeshot at most

I have ridden a lot of 600's and have never known one to launch near as hard as the busa
Like I said its pretty much down to me screwing up and sending the tire up or attempting to loop it.

" Is he just average or pretty good? I've seen guys who are super riders and have even beaten Busas at that distance. Anyone who races or know those who can REALLY ride can testify to this. But I'm betting that you can take him.

he has had a few bikes -- most notably a gsxr 1100 , but has nowhere near the seat time I have -- or the drag racing experience (I used to race cars tho).

It seems that all the Posers in the world are trying to make the rules so that they no longer have to posess skill to be crowned champion. Case in point ... When did drag racing from "a roll" become acceptable?!?! That's not racing, it's two puzziez playing drag racer. If ya can't launch your ride, you're not a drag racer. If ya can't beat somebody in the 1/4 you're not fast enough. Period.
Friendly rivalries are fun, but this guys sounds like he's trying to justify his smaller inferior bike against a Busa. Not gonna happen. If he wants a bike competition he stands a chance of winning against a Busa, why don't the two of you start with the keys in the acc position and see who's bike starts faster! Now THERE'S braggin' rights!!!

Hmmmmm....let him hard-launch.....you do a standard roll-out to wide open throttle, you'll be at terminal velocity before he hits 3rd gear.  Watch your rpms and shift at about 10,000....you'll be fine......

I give ya' two gears to pass, three to finish, and he'll be spinning like a top when you look in the rear view......that's not a whole lot of space to get him in but it IS do-able.......

REMEMBER, when you hit WOT and terminal velocity...don't rub into him as you go by !!!

Be careful... that distance can roll by faster than you expect... in a longer distance i would expect you to win with out a blink of an eye. but this is kind of an odd race... i like what MooseBusa said " If ya can't launch your ride, you're not a drag racer. If ya can't beat somebody in the 1/4 you're not fast enough. Period."

I'd never make that bet. You might get surprised. I use to eat the 900 and 1000s up in the 1/8th mile with a 650. I could hear them coming the whole time. I had the hole shot.

Ummm... at a hundred yards the Busa will still be in 1st!! This is NOT a 1/4 mile!

gearing wise yes -- I'm sure
he does have a slip on but his spockets are stock
