a buddy of mine is looking for 1969 Corvette engine block :

I need a 1969 block -#3963512 (this is the correct block for the 435 horse tri power) I need a four bolt main dated for Aug thru Oct 1969.

Any suggestions where to look or a good forum to ask ?

i will ask my buddy if he has one or knows of anyone. he is into all that numbers matching stuff. i just hot rod everything. i assume that is a 396 ?

he says good luck and expect to spend 3-5k on just the block as it is the most desired. he said to watch out for the scammers taking 71 512 blocks and changing the 1 to a zero somehow , so just watch out for that. good luck

Hey Kent.
Say i worked for chevy in those years. If it is 435 Hp it is a 427. I have a 4 bolter on the stand and will ckeck the part no tomorrow. Champion speed shop in SSf, Gotelli speed shop close buy them are Chevy Dudes. Also Bakersfield is a good spot to check. There are lots of big blocks around.
