Hey Nitrosjunkie,  The high mount HMFs look great.  I am considering the low mounts to retain the stock look.  The twenty dollor question:  Did the exsaust mod give you much more power.  Is it worth $1000?
They advertise 13 HP increase with tuning. Most tuned busas with PC2 and HMFs are running around 170.
Mine improved 7 HP just bolting them on, so yes they make good power.

Just waiting for the power commander, timing retard and and nitrous kit to arrive, then its game on. Oh yeah, I Highly recommend that you wrap your headers all the way to the x-pipe,HMF doesnt give you enough heat resistance and in researching this install on the site here, I saw that alot of guys experienced fairing melting problems, so far so good!

I was thinking of maybe doing this way in the future. I'm not sure now after the fairing melt comment.

Also can you even keep your stock turn signals when installing the high mounts. Your turn signals are one of the first things I noticed because of the line the high mounts take. Looks good on your bike, but I am kind of safety consciences with this bike. The more visible I am the better.

Absolutely!!!! THe gain was more than I expected even without the power commander! As far as the plastics melting, If you do the install correctly, no problem. THe fit is very precise, I added the wrap just for insurance.

I'm so dissappointed, nobody noticed the trick little LED turn signals. They are the little chrome things you see on the black factory undertail. I'll by the first guy that can tell what they were made for a BeeR!

Ready to spill the beans yet? looks awesome.
Believe it or not, they are winshield washer signals!!!! They worked great!, but now they are disabled since I got the clear alternatives kit for the rear.

If you like the system, just have a reputable mechanic install them and you'll have no problem, I did the install myself because I live in the midde east and had no faith in the mechanics there! I dont think so on the stock rear signals, the cans run right through where they go.Sorry!

That is kind of what I figured on the turn signals.

How is the sound. I have the D&D slip-on on my Buell and love the sound and power I get. I understand that a lot of people have had problems with D&D on the Busa so I was thinking of going with HMF. I hear the HMF full system is the way to go if you want a nice loud growl with power for the Busa.

Just taking a shot here, but are you a contractor or something like that out in the UAE.

No man, I'm in the Air Force and have been over in the middle east a couple of times. Never actually made it all the way down to the UAE yet.

Damnit! You spilled the beans too soon on the washer LED's.

I was scrolling down thinkin'...I hope no one guessed it, I can't wait to see how he sends me a beer in the mail.

That's a freakin great idea. I got a set down in my basement still in the package. But they are green...so I'm not quite sure it would be a good idea for me. But I'm still impressed you thought about doing that.

The high mounts look tight too! Nice choice!

Nice lookin pipes dude. I may be wrong, but I've heard from several different people that wrapping your headers will cause the metal to go brittle...just kind of a heads up type thing more than anything. I was going to wrap my muzzy head pipes and was actually talked out of it by a dude at a hot rod shop here in Denver.

Anywhoo, nice lookin ride. I love the sound of the dual highs, nice choice.

I really like that system. It's on my future mods list. How is the sound, BTW?
