Alrighty, got my HID's installed. I like the way they light up the garage...can't get any "real world" reviews because its about -6 degrees here:banghead:

I mounted the ballasts on the right side air intake tube. The challenging part is deciding where to shove all the extra wiring so that everything fits back together.

I got the before and after shot along with where I mounted the ballasts.

Looks good bro. You will love it.

Well said by a man who knows!

Nice looking light-up, youngsta!

I know it took a lot gettin' it in there, but you'll find it infinitely beneficial when you go theory to practice.

I hope my history with that install was of benefit to you... :beerchug:

About the extra wires, make 'em tidy; roll 'em up and zip tie them to secure them. You don't want that stuffage floating around in there!

Well done.

Your infinite knowledge was more than helpful. I'm in the process of zip-tying everything right now...I enjoy clean spaces so you can believe that I'll clean up those wires some.

very cool,

what does the HID kit cost?:poke:

I got mine through a board sponsor, xenonking. The very next day, I had a knock on the door, it was the delivery guy handing me the HIDs. I got the visionpro 6000 highs and lows and it was $180. Install was fairly easy.

Sounds like a plan! I play baseball over here at Carthage and we go to FL every year for our spring trip. Well last year, my dad trailered down both of our bikes and cruising around Florida was amazing. Whenever it gets nice up here, I'll take you up on that ride offer. We can't leave out Kevin (Firedog5800), he's right here in kenosha also. When it gets closer to spring time, we'll set somethin up.

No Sir. You have to have the ballast to ignite the HID bulbs. I promise, install is like 45 minutes, less than that if you know your way around the bike.

from what i've read, the majority place them on the ram air tubes.
