HID ballasts ?????

well I finally installed my HID kit, now I just have one question. I wasn't really thinking as I was installing the kit and I put the low beam on the left side and its sitting on a couple wires. Before I take everything back apart

do the ballast get hot enough to harm the wires?

It has not hurt mine, been the same way for over a year.

HID I just installed mine, couple of weeks ago...
the ballasts gets just warm that you can touch, and it tells me i am working fine...
