I notice sometimes people want you to "save as. . " instead of just streaming a video from wherever they have it stored to save bandwidth..

what difference does it make... your still downloading the file either way aren't you? it's just that one way keeps it and the other way just plays and forgets it...

i'm sure windows keeps a copy of it somewhere in it's cache, or temp files anyway doesn't it?

I mean when it's streamed it's gonna have a copy somewhere anyway isn't it unless you specify not to keep that stuff for any amount of time.

the save as option allows you to save it on your computer for later viewing at your convenience. streaming can take time, and if the link goes away, you wont see it again...

streaming uses more of the other persons cpu usage than it would if you would just download it.

ie: 15 people streaming may take 50% of the cpus power, where 15 people downloading the movie may only take 10%.

just an example.
