Got some gas today

During the Mega Bike Race Sunday my gas light came on in the second round.
Well I figured OK I have plenty to make it to a gas station on the way home.
Well a storm was coming in fast on the way home so I was in a rush to prevent a
down pour..
Well I got gas today...
Yupp the GENII does have a 5.5 Gal. gas tank

bet the needle was not moving at all, not even a bounce.

Tha gas gauage is pretty accurate on the GENII well as far as mine goes.
I should have taken a picture of the gauage also. I would say the needle moved
about an 1/8 of an inch when turned on.
I cant say how many miles I traveled since the fuel light came on.

I try not to push it like this, with my luck I be stranded on the side of the road waiting for someone to bring me a can of gas

I've seen the fuel light a few times. Mine usually has close to two gallons in it when the light comes on. I still get excited

I never even look at my gauge anymore...I reset the trip every time I get fuel and start looking for a gas station at about 140-150 miles (or when the light comes on). I don't look at the gauge anymore because mine sits on full until I put between 80 and 90 miles on and then it drops off like a rock.

Had 5.4 on 201 miles thought that was good for the speed I was riding, now I have to go for 5.5.

I haven't pushed my Gen II but my Gen I says you had some time.

Same with the Gen II. If you're patient you can squeeze another 1/2 gallon in after it first tops off. I've put over 5.5 gallons in a couple times and recently went over 5.3 twice during an Iron Butt ride.
