The marks is the plating wearing thru!
They will eat seals more often than a good set. Thrust me i have a 7 or 8 wore tube hanging the garage!

Also Russell, know that to remove the bottom aluminum caliper/axle brackets from the hard chrome tubes, it takes a $190 tool (look at it on Race Tech website) so that's a big step if you do it(I just had to go through that!). You might want to PM Isiahstites, he is a fine org member that knows all about your choices and might be able to offer great advice and/or assistance. I will say that ALL your effort directed toward your forks will ultimately be well worth it! Doyle
