looking for info. can i put gen2 mid pipes on gen 1 header?? my buddies son has his gen 2 mid pipes cut just after his rearsets and it sounds awsome. the problem is i want to do this to and 06. the 06 has carbon yoshi (way to quite, i can hear my wifes stock expedition over the yoshis) can so ill be taking the stock 06 midpipes off

If you just want to bolt the cut gen2 midpipes to the gen1 header it will work fine, since you don't have mufflers to match bolt hole locations on the passenger pegs. Muffler bolt hole location on the passenger pegs are different between gen 1 and 2.
