Contact me if you want to meet up.

So far the people in attendance will be.... me...

So I will be solo unless someone wants to go from the area, or wants to meet me somewhere

will be hading from central Cali (Lemoore, CA area)

And heading to the coast (straight across two mountain ranges) and back.

If someone wants to meet me somewhere along the way, cool, PM me with your cell number and I will call you in the AM. I plan on leaving my area around 10:00am

So any non posers out there hit me up, I hate riding alone.. but I will. I am used to it..

I thinking of riding over toward the west coast (of Florida) with my daughter tomorrow. Too bad it's the wrong west coast.

Not to hijack a thread, but I'm in Orlando about once every week or two. I have driven down Colonial and can't find you. Judging from Mapquest, you should be near that little airport and the Toys R Us. Are you back off the road and I just don't see you or am I just blind?

I think I'm going to ride over to Tampa tomorrow and ride with Tspoole. I've not met him yet and according to the website link he gave me, there are pancakes for breakfast. I'm going to take one of my daughters and make a day of it.

Kev

P.S. as soon as I can find your store, I'll stop in.

Well its around 10 pm so maybe you're already asleep.  You taking 198 and then 46 to the coast?  From Lemoore you must know about hiway 25 from 198 to Hollister right?  When I venture south I try to ride 25 to 198 from Hollister.  It seems the better direction for some reason.  On my ride before last, I met up with a CHP just south of Hollister where the first real straightaway begins.  He was heading north and on my 79 I didn't have my Valentine but luckily I was powering down from triple digits at around 80-90 and when he came over the rise all he did was hit his lights.  Couldn't believe it!  As we passed I made sure he could see my brake light but knowing it was doubtful I would see another CHP anywhere on that tiny two lane before I got to 198 I ended up having a (real) good ride, all the way.  Great two lane!

As for riding with a Busa "Master" I don't know...all I ride are antiques, one nekkid 79 and the other, an 82 Prolink with fairing, shield and bags.  They do have six carburetors and six cylinders though.  Ever hear of them?  I'll be up till midnight or so if you're interested, let me know. I'll check in the morning too.

I am planning on riding today as well. It is going to be a balmy 48 here in eastern Iowa. Don't think I can make Cali in time though.

Well, I'd need a bit more notice to be able to make it. So, ummm, I guess I'll just pose... or maybe just ride around here.

I just got back from my ride. Today has been the coolest day of the season. I left the house this morning at around 8:00 am and the temp was 50 degrees. The forcast called for a high of 70 today so I wore jeans, my h.org t-shirt and my leather jacket. It never got to 70, it rained a little, probably did good to reach 60. When will I learn not to listen to the weather man. We had fun though. I rode with tspool and the BMW riders of tampa.

By the way, I got me in a short ride today. Got about 30 miles or so of some decent twisty stuff close to my house. I had adjusted the steering head bearing and had to take it out to make sure that solved my handlin' and headshake problems that developed during my last ride. 30 miles wasn't near enough but I don't have good cold weather gloves so my fingers fuggin' FROZE.

I was comfortable everywhere except my fingers. They got cold enough that they lost a bit of feeling and dexterity. I fumbled on the brake lever once and I didn't feel like it was wise to continue ridin' like that so I headed in. I've gotta find some reasonably priced winter ridin' gloves now. I'm tryin' to put together enough cold weather gear so that I don't have to winterize and park Diablo this winter. I think I'm good now except for gloves...
