Gen 2 fairings on a Gen 1

Has anyone tried this, it's just an idea I'm thinking of after new year, wonder if a full kit would fit, obviously with some mods here and there, ideas please guys :laugh:

I believe you need the Gen 2 fairing stay and rear subframe.

+1, the frame also needs a hole drilled on each side below the upper part of the gastank(aside from that the gen1 and 2 frames are almost identical). The gen2 fairings have a plastic pin that pops into a grommet in each hole on each side.
The guage trim from one gen won't work on the other, as you'll either have gaps or have to change guage clusters, which requires repinning them. The gen2 gear indicator won't work on the gen1 either.
You can make it work, but nothing will just bolt on.:beerchug:

Cheers six-pack, sounds like a project worth a try, I'll buy the kit in January and hopefully have it ready for running next season, got it running sweet and now for an upgrade to the looks :laugh:

It fits, I posted pics a while back of a black and orange bike a guy did ,yes you will have to do some slight fab work but it fits :thumbsup:
