Hi all, first post so please excuse my inactivity, I have a 08 gen2, I love the standard exhausts, yes they weigh the same as a small family car but I like the looks, I think the factory sprayed them with black crayon it is that bad so I'm asking can the black part of the end can be resprayed, thanks in advance, regards Chris

Sure, just prep them well and use high temperature primer and paint.
Multiple coats with ample dry time between them.
You can easily get a nice and durable finish with a rattle can.
If you like a flat or matte black look, grill/stove paint works very well too.

Welcome..

One of the few who like those water heater exhausts...

Like @sixpack577 said, easy peasy...

I like them too on a red and white Busa. They just drag when I take corners. Otherwise I like the look.

Yep!
I dragged the sh*t outta both of mine when i first got my gen2 years ago, lol.
The scrapes weren't visible unless you looked under them.
We know hard parts on the road = bad, lol.
I even had an egg sized and shape scrape on the clutch cover fairing(that side of the engine sticks out further than the other).
