I have a Gear Position Indicator from Track Day Electronics on my bike and it is reading improperly. It shows 6 when in neutral but otherwise operates perfectly. I contacted Track Day Electronics and was told that I need to clean the Gear Position Switch. I don't have a problem doing this but can't find the location of it for the life of me. I tried looking in the manual but it was no help. Could anyone please point me in the right direction?

What year is your bike? I am assuming they are referring to the Gear position sensor (GPS) behind the clutch? (Gen 2)

Thank you for the link to the manual. So am I correct in saying that the switch is located on the top of the crankcase? Also, will it be mandatory to remove the cover as shown or is there external access? I apologize for what may be simple questions to some but I am far from being a mechanic, however, I do follow instructions really well!!!
