Can anyone give some advise on removing the gauge cluster ? also will the battery need to be disconnected? I'd prefer not pulling the upper fairingif possible.. Thanks

Remove the windscreen, remove the inner panels, remove the two bolts holding each corner and pull straight out. There is a plastic retainer pin holding the gauges in a rubber grommet, so dont twist or turn them till you get that retainer pin out. Then just unplug and walk away. I havent removed a set of Gen II gauges but I would think they are close to the same.

Thank Ya Bra !!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

You bet, that should be all there is. The main thing is not to break that plastic retainer pin. And pull the plug straight out. You dont want to screw up any of those pins inside the plug.
