Im looking for a little better than stock braking. i love my stock breaks now though. I want a brake pad that will last and im just kind of thinking the HH pads dont last near as long as a GG pad would because of the increased grip. Who still uses GG pads? And how long have HH pads lasted you?

HH is a friction rating. All sportbikes use HH pads from the factory. Do not use GG rated pads on a sportbike.

BUT! You will need to season the brake pads before being able to use them at their full capacity. Give your bike about 100 miles of riding and general braking to set the pads. Doing this will set your pads and give you maximum braking capability.

I dont believe thats true. They come stock with a G or GG pad. They definitely do not come stock with an HH pad...

Yeah thats definitely wrong because the OEM pads are not rated HH. Sorry ???. if anything they are rated G and maybe GG...

No,your wrong, Ken is correct. Here's a pic of the back of stock pads. Same pads for GEN II Busa's and GSXR 1k.

Wow, thanks guys, learn something new every day.

I have had HH pads on my bike now for 2 and a half year, still stopping strong.

I put HH pads on about a year ago and wouldn't use anything else.

:bump: more opinions on HH pads. I just dont want to warp my stock rotors. Maybe Galfer HH are better at transferring heat than EBC and are less likely to warp rotors...

Basically im wondering if a galfer 1054 compound is a good replacement. Im not looking for a super brakepad just a good afermarket replacement that performs a little better. and if it performs just like stock thats okay too. Opinions and what you have on your bike and for how long is what im looking for here
