Vabs. Sort of went through the same reminiscing a little over the weekend. It dawned on me my 2003 is 11 years old this year. Still drives and looks new and I have no desire to have anything else.

Just did a ride 2 weekends ago. Man at 11 years old, this bike still does it for me. I get thumbs up still everywhere I ride.

Pretty much what I told Omar after our first ride of the season...my Busa still feels like my brand new toy from 11 years ago and I have just as much fun as I did when I bought it. I only wish *I* felt the same as I did 11 years ago

I'll be keeping him for a long while too :D

My girl rides the same bike. Year and color. Twin bikes. That has proven to be a lot of fun everywhere we go. A Copper Busa is cool, 2 is like a show.

She has never fully pulled the trigger on hers, but she ain't afraid to tuck in and let her bike do the work. It fits her like a glove. She has done 140 and she is like...shheeesszzz this is E A S Y. She would get rid of me before she gets rid of that bike.

Why haven't you been riding?

some life issues I am dealing need to get sorted, I am either down or angry changes by the day my mind hasn't had happy thoughts in so long I forgot what it feels like. Best to stay off the bike till my mindset is in the right place and the problems get sorted. Maybe I should try to ride to get a few hours of joy, smiles and giggles in at least 1 day this year, just pretty sure the it will go south somehow if I try.

Damn, I just realized I haven't owned a Busa since August 2009. Sold it and bought a HD Roadglide. Hey, I work for HD.

Then had my head on accident in 10' and been without a bike since.

Eventhough I have a BMW, it wasn't to abandon the Busa. My GSXR1k is getting a little tired and I bought it to be my next trackday weapon. I still love my white Busa. It's actually going in this week to see if the footpeg mount can be safely welded back.

I look at bikes all day long at work. Although there are a few bikes I really like and could see myself riding, there is not a bike on the floor I would trade my busa for!

I was actually thinking this myself. But the truth is the busa is the bike for me. It fits my personality, size, and interest in the sport. It's gotten to the point where she is more like a horse to me than a machine. I trust her, believe in her and we understand each other. Most of all, after 5 years of riding I am always amazed by her when we get back to the garage. I also like that I have made her more perfect with good mod choices that made the things I ask her to do even more fun and safe. Most of the bikes I have had eventually get boring. The Busa seems to be that woman that doesn't lose anything with age, she just gets more beguiling.

I still have a dream of riding across country, and the Busa is not the right tool for that, at least at my age. So I might get a BMW 1600 also. But the Busa is a bike I worship, it's proven itself a legend.

i still have my Busa. rode her hard and put her away wet last year.

I have bought a sidecar to put on my dyna sturgis. I don't really like riding it. its a square wheel slowpoke compared to the Busa, but I wanted to put together a rig for me and my son to do a bunch of camping out of this summer.
