We all know the consequences of our stupid actions. Lets see some high speed crashes, cause everyone speeds excessively all the time without blinking an eye.

True, high speed crashes can be even more severe.

You have to understand Rubb's point of view on issues like this. You dont know me yet,I'm a gear nazi,I encourage safe riding, and I worry about my brothers and sisters here on the site.

I want whats best for them. Thats why if I can stop some newbie from wheeling his Busa,or doing speed runs...then I feel I've done my job.

Make sense?

RSD.

Everytime I see something like this, or major road rash, it reminds me why I ALWAYS ride with equipment. I just want to show one of these vids to the squids that ride in shorts, wife beaters, etc.

+1 Im with ya RUbb. to be honest, if not for all the attention paid to gear here on this site, I would not have been wearing what I was when I flipped the bike...nor would have Amy. I know me-n I love(d) to ride without gear before, only because I had yet to really see what kind of damage I can do just by accident. So I thank the .org for pushin the all-gear-all-the-time moto here...saved me from changin my fiancees skin-graft bandages, and instead just throwin on a little neosporin.

Saw this clip long ago. Damn... Wonder how he's doing today.

I will be purchasing full leathers and Sidi's top of line boots here soon. Be careful out there folks.

Yeah, RSD. I admit it, it was me getting grief from black954 and Tufbusa in that past scrap. I've seen this but thanks for the post. I know all that gear saved your arse when the Smurfinator went down.

And these guys looked pretty proficient - at least they thought they were - on much lighter & easier handling bikes.  Any pro in anything made many mistakes before they got good, but motorcycling takes it to an extreme level of consequence by learning from your mistakes.

Only gear I don't have are the attaching leather pants to my jacket cuz' they're on backorder.  Using Kevlar re-inforced Draggin' Jeans and ICON knee/shin armor for now.

Won't matter one bit cause they gots mad skillz and it can't happen to them!

I don't let it bother me. The way I see it, the world (or at least the US) has become too safe. All the warning labels and extra cost safety devices on every damn product we purchase is allowing stupid people to live longer, breed more and put our lives more at risk by having them roam around freely in public. Motorcycles are one of the few equalizers left. Face it, if you get rear ended one day on your bike, odds are something like the warning on a plastic bag that tells you not to put it over your head may be the reason he was still alive. Electrocution, falling out of carnival rides, getting caught in a hydraulic press or setting yourself on fire is getting more and more difficult to do these days...something needs to thin out the gene pool.
Imagine if your life depends on your co-workers and one day the douchebag in that video is assigned to work with you?

I guess that's a silver lining way of looking at it. Thin the idiots out of the gene pool...yeah I can get behind that.

Thanks for the insight Torch. For those that want to, stunt away.

There is a difference in just doing a basic wheelie and doing stupid stunts like that wheelie on the handlebars. Don't get me wrong, a crash is a crash. It is kind of like doing a 160mph on the open interstate and doing it through downtown. Your chances of crashing and getting hurt are higher.

Most of those "squids" are Harley owners. I saw a fat guy on a Harley today wearing shorts and a tank top. I see them all the time in this area.... and they also wear those hat helmets which have pretty much zero protection.
