Kind of embarassing to be from WA state right now. Long story short our Governors race is still going and is beginning to make Florida's voting system look like the model. Dino Rossi the Republican candidate won by roughly 240 votes, madatory machine recount he wins by roughly 40 votes, Democratic candidate Christine Gregior with the help of John Kerry and the DNC pay for 3rd manual recount and she wins by roughly 130 votes. 59% of Washington State voters think there should be a revote, 56% think that a revote isn't necessary and that Dino Rossi is the winner. When Rossi won by roughly 240 votes Gregior called it a tie. When asked if she meant a virtual tie she stated that it was an actuall tie. Now that she has won the 3rd and final vote by roughly 130 votes she no longer believes it is a virtual or actuall tie.

King County (Seattle) is the biggest problem and just happens to be Gregior country. They had over 5000 more people vote in their county than are registered to, oops. After the election they found "additional" ballots on 9 seperate occasions totaling almost a 1000, and they had not been secured, oops. King County, due to a court decision from the same folks who said gay marriage was legal in WA state even though it isn't, decided that they could go back and re-canvass votes and add others in that were rejected previosly, oops. This is against WA law as a recounts can only include ballots originally counted and new ones cannot be reconsidered. A good number of our military guys/gals either did not have there vote counted or did not get them until after the elections, oops. If you are from WA state, or not, and think think this should be fixed sign the petion on line and let our representatives know what you think about it.

whoever ultimately wins the election, Republican or Democrat, this needs to be fixed. If you could care less, just sit back and watch how messy this this gets for our state and have a good laugh!

the problem is obvious.....59 percent want a recount and 56 percent don't....you seem to have 115 percent of the math majors living in Washington!!

That's a good one and probably not far off from the truth. They were two seperate polls conducted, not one in the same. Either way it shows that the majority of WA state thinks Gregior should not take office.

It is frustrating... More and More it becomes obvious that we as a country had better do away with the 2 party system before we end up in another civil war....

Although it wouldn't be much of a war. All the Fuggin Bunny Huggin Delusional ANTI-Gun Democrats will be pretty easy pickins....

And it gets better. Yesterday it was discovered that there is proveable fraud on behalf of some Democrats. During the first recount the Dems went to court, the first to do so, and asked that roughly 500 provisional ballots that were rejected in the first count be reconsidered. These were dertermined by election officials, with 1 dem and 1 rep onlooker, to be ballots that were not legitimate for a number of reasons, not a registered voter, wrong precinct, signature didn't match etc. The judge decided to give the Dems the names and addresses of the 500, and 48 hours to come up with signed affidavits from them stating that their vote was legitimate. If they accomplished this the votes would be counted. They got roughly 400 affidavits within 48 hours on a weekend. More than one person thought that was an interesting level of success especially on a weekend so a Seattle business man investigated it. They looked in depth and found the following: 2 dead people, 6 concivted felons (still in prison), and roughly 25% of the other affidavits, although bearing different names, shared remarkably similar signature traits in the hand writing analysis.

The same group thought if 400 votes showed so much error/fraud, how about King, Thurston and Pierce Counties. They took the remarkabley complicated step, which the election office is supposed to do, and compared the list of registered voters angainst the list of registered felons. He hired 40 people to review the lists for matches. when their was one they flagged it and went down to the court house for the criminal records which are all public record. They then compared the criminal file against the name to match up more than just the name, such as matching address and so on. They found over 70 felons and dead people had voted in just Pierce county alone. We only know about Pierce because King County has refuse to hand over the list of convicted felons so it can be compared with the list of voters. I wonder why?

I have no problems with a two party system and if the people want something different their vote will show the rest of us the way. I do have a problem with fraud and gross incompitence on behalf of our election officers and retarded voters. We need one type of ballot state wide, no provisional ballots, our military folks need their ballots well in advance of others or allowed to vote electronically from their post, and stupid people should not be allowed to vote. How do you keep stupid people from being able to vote? There is a means test already in place and it just needs to be followed. If the voter cannot figure out the following then their vote does not count or will not be accepted:
-are you a registered voter?
-are you in the right precinct?
-can you properly follow basic instructions on how to vote?
-have you voted more than once in the same election?
-are you dead?
-are you a convicted felon who has not had your civil rights restored?
