Flashing the 08 / ECU Editing software for GEN II Busas

Smithabusa, Are you stating that it definitively will not work on the Bking or is that answer a guess? I have been waiting for this to come out, assuming that the Bking used the same or very similar computer and that I would be able to utilize it, but if there are big differences then perhaps I need to go ahead with an add on. Are you able to give any more info on this?

I honestly don't know but I'm sure its a different part number and we know tHe limiter stuff is different so I don't know. Petrik can probably answer but he's outta town

Well glad to see we got some more input on the ECU.

I forgot to ask this Question are the 2009 ECU's the same as the 2008's
I noticed in the directory for the ecueditor it showed k8.bin etc.
But nothing for k9 = 2009.

I'm no professional but I would say yes it's the same. No changes were made from 08 to 09 other than colors.

I got access to a couple of descent maps one from Brock And a dynojet map.

Let me get this straight.. no need for any other form of add on FI unit since we can flash the ecu now, thanks to Petrik . Is this Flashing for the average guy or someone who can tune with the dyno? I would like to do this but don't have any way of knowing what to change in the stock ecu map for my add ons to make it run as good as it does now. Is there any tuners in MD who know how to tune using the ECU Editor? Thanks, Dozer.

Does this in any way affect the drive mode selection thing?
or can it let us change how the drive mode affects the mapping?
..or whatever.. that sounds weird now that its typed out ???

I believe currently petrik has it setup so you only mess with mode A and its secondary map, I bet in the near future there will be more options as I know he wants the option to run e85 in his bike
