First ride

Well, today was the day, my first ride on the 1000...we did 300 miles, a loop from the house to Tahoe and back. The new gsxr is awsome...its a tool, very fast in the twisties...just drops right in and launches out nice...but for sure dosent feel as planted as the busa, damn, that throttle response is unreal...I did have a major pucker moment though,

We were heading up hwy 88 to the back side of Tahoe...88 is 90 to 100mph sweepers...everything was going perfect, the bike was everything I thought it would be handling the twisties, but then it happened, as I sweeped around a right turn, just as I started to exit the turn there was a huge gash in the road and I droped right into it.

It all happened so fast all I can say I was on a pretty good lean when I droped in to the hole the bike just about launched me and started to tank slap.

My freind anthony was right behind me and said it looked like I might go down...honost to God I dont know how I stayed up. Its one of the closest calls I have had in years. I had to stop and when I got off the bike I was shaking.

Anyhow the rest of the day was great and we did 300 miles so now I have a whopping 456 miles on her.

When I got home to put her away the busa just stared at me...I think shes mad at me now for throwing my leg over another girl

What's up with the picture frame hanging off the tail? It probably had enough drag to save your @ss on that sweeper.

Ya thats things gotta go im gonna clean the tail up and maybe get a gel seat cause one things for sure it aint NEARLY as comfortable as the busa....300 miles felt like 600 on the busa....
