Congrats. All the BS and good points have already been covered. One day it may save your life, or someone else near you. End of story.

I CC a Walther P99 .40SW. It's compact, light, and very accurate. I would buy again. I would also consider an XD .40SW or .45 APC. Both are very well built and very reliable. The Walther has different grip back straps that can be changed to improve comfort of firing.

BTW... I choose to carry a CCW because with my back I can't lift a Cop to carry them around.

A CCW has prevented me from being mugged one night in south Portland. A couple of kids thought a knife was enough to hold me up for the money I just took out of an ATM. I saw them sneaking up on me in a mirror that was stuck to the top of the ATM. The police picked them up a few blocks away with wet pants. It may not have been truly life threatening, but I'll bet those kids re-evaluated their career path that night.

explain away bro,im all ears

Dear XXX,

First off, I am not your "bro."

Second, you are trolling. I'm guessing that redkat05 did not create this thread for you to come in, show your butt, and start an argument. This is why I declined a confrontation earlier, however, I salute Revlis for what he has said. We can certainly have this debate somewhere else.

Third, please calm down a bit with the language. I know it makes you sound "harder" than the rest of us, but really, we don't care.

Fourth, you and I are both new here. We should have some respect for the .org and it's more seasoned members. I do.

Fifth, please just shut your trap.

Thank you for your time.

Did you just call Robot a "cheerleader"?

There's some things you wouldn't answer in a public forum nor will I.

But don't ever assume, that you are the only one that has ever been in a less than ideal situation.

I refer to flawed logic as "I was in this or that situation, and if I'd had a "piece" someone would have died." What?

Perhaps if you had been carrying your situation awareness would have (should be heightened) and chances are you never would have been in the "carjacking scenario".

We can run scenario's and NRA fantasies through the ringer all day and not get anywhere, there's no point. But to say that folks are better off without a concealed weapon, ESPECIALLY when they are small or female makes no sense.

Remember to buckle up, you cannot escape a submerging vehicle if you are knocked unconscious upon impact. FWIW

Now see what you started bro:laugh:

That's all you have? Well, I'm certainly impressed.
Really though, I think you've earned yourself a slow clap.

This concludes my participation in your threadjacking.

"Im trolling", yeah,whatever that means.

Im not gonna get into a pissing match with you, your 25k+ post doesnt mean sh!t to me other then you need a hobby.

and you dont need to believe anything I say but next time you call someone out,you should know something about them first and not be so ignorant.

now you can admit you are just self loathing

Not sure where you came up with that deduction XXX?????????

Seemed like a good reply made a point in my eyes. I used to carry but I have anger issues an gave it up.

Please read this before you judge:

Shooting in Butte, Montana

Shotgun preteen vs. illegal alien Home Invaders :

Butte, Montana November 5, 2007

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before me dical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery, where the owner 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky, he was stabbed to death by the pair.

Ever wonder why these kind of stories never make NBC, CBS, PBS, & MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........an 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home and herself......against two murderous, illegal aliens .......and she wins, and she is still alive.
You would think if they were unbiased it would be a lead story.

Now that is Gun Control!

Thought for the day:

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'
Sometimes, the good guys win........

Hope you enjoy. It made my day.

This story an many others like it where people have successfully saved themselves by using firearms rarely make it to the news. The innocent guy tha gets capped or the home invasion where they tied everyone up an raped or murdered the home owners, those always make the news 1st.

It's better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not have it.

I carry a Glock 19 (9mm) when I travel and reciprocity allows or in any unfamiliar places. There are many situations where you'd say you wish you woulda had it. Frankly when I carry I forget it's on me most of the time. Better safe than sorry, I'd only use as a last resort and I wouldn't even pull it unless I intended on it.

Congrats! I have been carrying for over ten years now. I carry daily except when I am going on Military installations. I carry all the time since I first got my permit in 1998.

Congrats on the permit. I (as you can see) currently live in Cali. I am working on my CCW here, I have my Utah and MN permits currently. I carry a Para 1911 .45 with me in a deep tuck holster. I forget its there 90% of the time. I shoot at and outdoor range $5 all day range fee

XXX--- I used to like you, you used to be cool. :poke: The pics of Genos, man that was MEAN!!!!! I was just in NJ last year, and had to drive to Philly every weekend (for 2 months) to get my cheese steak! I found Genos when I was stationed at the Phily Naval Station in '93. That place is the BOMB!!! But trading Genos to live here, man thats a tough call!

that walther is a sweet gun. I have one and love it as well as quite a few others. But my carry is the walther p99 and the beretta 9000s both 40's
it all depends on how I fell that day as to witch one I carry.

congrats bro!

i carry a beretta m9 9mm or a ruger sp101 .357

why do i carry... because i can and it is my right. just like it is everyones right to decide not to carry and that is fine with me..

do i long for the day i get to use it? hell no! but it is there if needed.. and i hope it is never needed. ya want my wallet take it... ya want my bike take it. id rather walk away and not deal with court costs to prove i was in the right... you come against my family in my own home, thats when i feel deep inside i would pull the trigger no question. my car, $$, bike they are not worth protecting and taking a life over.. but my family is.

congrats on the permit...got mine renewed a couple months ago...lifetime was 25 dollars more so i got it instead of the 4 year....75 total...i carry an old school 38..and a stub nose 22 mag...looking for a new 357 mag revolver( 7 or 8 shot) and a .45 semi-auto myself...taking my time to look at all of my options and buy what will work best for me and my budget. fitment for my hand is my biggest concern(monkey hands..lol)im 6'4" so i can hide just about anything in a coat holster.
good advice there!!!!I'd only use as a last resort and I wouldn't even pull it unless I intended on it.[/QUOTE]
the whole point of a ccw is to protect yourself and others from danger. i agree 100% on not pulling it out unless your really gonna use it...other wise dont draw it. i dont feel it gives me any special powers or inflates my ego...its actually a very big responsibility. practice is a must...learn how to shoot and learn how to be safe.when i carry i goto great lengths to conceal it the best i can...sometimes in the wrong crowd it will provoke others so be careful.and remember....this is the usa...we have a right to bear arms...some will...some wont...its their choice. and on the pissing match side of this....ive never shot anyone(thankfully) but it has kept me out of harms way several times...long enough for me to leave a hostile situation.
