Faster acceleration on a Busa??

17/43 gearing works really well. And does not take much, just a new rear sprocket if you have low miles on the chain.

I hate to admit my shortcoming here, but I wasn't 100% comfy with starting from a dead stop and accelerating as fast as possible on the '06, but I can't at all on the '08....

Correct. Smaller in the front and/or bigger in the rear gives a faster acceleration with lower top speed. Cheapest and fastest way.

On my 08 I use 16/43 for street and for dragracing I use a 16/47. I'm a biggg guy and I need that larger rear sprocket to get things moving quickly.
