Fast Idle

The fast idle on my '05 LE doesn't seem to be working. I'll likely take it to the dealer, but wanted to know: 1) how do you adjust it (a pic would be nice); and 2) what is the factory "fast idle" rpm when fully opened? Thanks.

Raise the tank. On the right-side you will see your throttle cables and the adjusting screws. The idle screw is the larger screw facing the rear of the bike. The fast idle screw faces the front...it's smaller, than the idle screw.

You may be able to 'back out' the fast idle screw to see if that will help. In my case, I ended up 'bending the tab' on the idle arm so it contacts the fast idle arm sooner. When my fast idle is fully engaged, it's around 6,000 RPM.

PS - I think stock Fast Idle is around 2500.

Thanks, omslaw. I'm stopping by the dealer on Saturday anyway, so they said they'd look at it. I also just purchased the "official" Suzuki repair manual from "repairmanual.com" for $70. I figured it's a good investment, and interesting reading (especially to keep up with you 'Busa experts!).
