I get an intermittent F1 lamp when closing the throttle and down shifting(like when coming up on a stoplight). When the lamp comes on it will usually stall after I come to a complete stop. This started happening right after I changed my spark plugs so I re torqued the plugs and the issue went away for about 150 miles. Lamp came back on, same scenario. This time I torqued to 12 lbs(8lbs in manual). 100-150 miles later the light is back on. I was able to pull a code this time C40. From what I have found this is a clutch switch or isc valve issue. When I start the bike back up it runs fine and no light, but it burns fuel like crazy....maybe 10-15 mpg. I'm banging my head against the wall on this. Any help greatly appreciated:please:

Clean isc valve, or adjust idle speed...I had the same issue and these are the common fixes I've found. Took me over 2 years of trying different things and all it ended up being was a short in my left side handlebar controls, replaced the assembly and issue is gone
