Everett, WA Honda rider killed Sunday

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at an Everett intersection which sent the man’s bike flying into the side of a nearby house. The rider was passing in a double yellow when the van he was passing took a left.

Have I passed a car on a double yellow? Yes. But I always make sure there are no possible upcoming left hand turns and I'm behind them a for a short while making myself obvious to them and giving them a chance to waive me by, which some do. If not, I pass when I know they have no opportunity to turn.

the sad thing is you don't even have to be doing anything wrong to get killed...please pay attention to EVERYTHING going on around you...local couple killed on their bike yesterday

It truly is sad. He made the gamble and lost. I'm pretty sure I've been through that intersection once or twice, and if memory serves me correctly, I believe I used to work with the eyewitness, but its been so long I could be wrong.
