I went to log in last week on an S1000rr forum and it was down, for days and days. I thought it might have collapsed because there are not many people there now. I joined another but it's quiet as a lamb too. Odd how people's habits change, is it all going on faceplant now? I don't run that octopus on my phone or even web based, I have no wish to be apart of the data collation side of it, to give some Billionaire my private phone number to spread around affiliated marketing companies. I never get spam on my phone, never have. If a pizza company asks my number I give them a fake, change the last digit. Same with any big corporate entity. Little business, doctors etc, sure, but no faceless conglomerates.

I noticed that also. So many sites have dried up because members have lost interest or the site was sold to a company and lost its appeal. That is one thing about here. The way Captain set up the site and refused to sell it has really given it the staying power that it has. To run this long, still pick up new members on a regular basis and maintain the original format says a lot about him and the membership. This place has been my second home for 23 years even though I haven't had a Busa since my wreck in 2005.

Thank you Doug and every member for keeping this site alive and running strong.

The ZX-14 forum I've been a part of for the last 16 years is very slow. There are still a few diehards that peek in regularly. When a new member posts, that's often the last time you ever hear from him. :D I don't suspect fowl play. Everything has been known about the bike for some time now and people just aren't that intrigued anymore. We have an excellent admin there too. He's kept the site running and I'm sure some money is coming out of his pocket to do so.

The FZ/MT-10 forum I was on was fairly steady 2-3 years ago but I haven't checked in for a while there.

I've never been on Facebook.....my wife is and she says the same thing about most people's posts.....she says they display their entire lives on there....

I was the same way for many years, but I joined 3 years ago.
I don't post, and don't follow people or read their posts.
I do follow one of my friends, so I can watch videos of his band, otherwise I only follow certain companies and groups of things that I'm interested in.
There are Busa, Gsxr, and Goldwing pages, along with tools, technology, and history pages that I enjoy reading.
Pick a subject of intrest and guaranteed you'll find several groups on it.
You don't have to post anything personal, or even your real name.
I thought FB was just individuals posting drama(and is), but didn't know originally that all of that can be ignored and avoided, and that there is alot of cool stuff on there, it's worth checking out.

We used to mail pictures of ourselves to relatives. Now we put them on FB if we’re a certain age.
Of course young folks aren’t on FB. My 21 year old daughter uses Snapchat.

........yeah.......no, I will never go on it.....

I'm kind of stubborn that way.

I'd rather annoy people here.....
