Difference in front sprocket

While replacing my front sprocket I noticed the stock sprocket has an overmold of rubber and the replacement is just steel. My guess is it's for noise reduction. Anyone notice a difference while replacing theirs and afterward.

Supposedly it's for noise and vibration.
Personally I have never heard or felt any difference, and that is on many, many sprockets and bikes.
I have never heard of anyone else saying they noticed any difference either.
I wouldn't give it a 2nd thought:beerchug:

Hit the nail on the head

I'm good with that. It's the sprocket that came with the Supersprox kit from Pashnit. Have not test rode it yet as I am still putting the bike back together.
