Difference in California hayabusa and other states?

Hello I just bought a 2002 Hayabusa with only 17k miles on her. . Love it!!! But it's from California. My friend today brought to my attention that usually California bikes have different valves and what not for their emission standards. Is this true? By the way I live in Texas.

I don't know if the valves are different but there are differences to due with emissions.
Also I believe that the gas tank size is a little smaller.

Someone from CA will come by and give you the low down sooner or later.

The gas tank holds a little less fuel and there is
more emissions crap added to the bike, but the
engine is the same.

look in the trunk and see if the charcoal canister is still there... aside for the emission system everything else is the same... I had a few of them.. and yes the gas tack is 1/2 gallon lighter

Both my Busas have been non CA models but with my V-Max the only difference it that the fuel tank is vented to a charcoal cannister (or used to be vented to a charcoal cannister).
