They SOLD me my bike without the Recall. Then Called me and Said DON'T RIDE IT !! I got on the Org and Printed up the Diagrams and Inspected the Bike Myself. OK...... Then Later that Week took it into the Dealership. They also said it was OK...

When I received the mailing, I called my dealer & verified that I had the improper routing (I already knew from the posted pics-thanks guys :-)). They ordered replacement part from Suzuki ... key ignition less keyed insert... When it came in a couple weeks later the timing was perfect because I got a new set of tires that day & droped off the bike & had the bike recall fixed & tires mounted & balanced. Service guys were great & said it was no problem. I was pleased that Zuke did the recall -Safety over cost. I normally do my own wrenching.

I think the real concern is that the routing could stress the connections to the ignition switch, potential failure mode could be wire stress, subsequent connection fatigue, subsequent connection failure..... Some of my more "exciting" MC adventures have been in the "mechanical failure"category higher level cause "neglected maintenance". IMOP I'd say to get er dun..... Zuke don't need the liability & u don't need the excitement of say the lights going out at the wrong time or ignition faliure merging onto the freeway etc,, May not be as exciting as say stuck throttles or seized pistons or blown tires, but lets let Suzuki put the money into 'GEN3" and not to your lawyers.
