That is exactly what I was thinking. The odds were stacked against them so high yet they continued to fight on. Almost 80% of the men in that picture would become a casualty or never see US soil again. I have such high respect for those men!

Way cool Hal, the men & women from that era left us some huge shoes to fill- sometimes we forget how good we've got it these days
