who wants to spend time looking at a silly tire....Okay, but this was 'Chelles tire... besides, I'm not sure exactly what VMan is actually looking at....

Now that is a nice rear...Caesar's got it all LOL  I shred those tires like cheese; don't be hatin'

VMan is probably impressed at the lack of chiken strips

That shot was taken before my awesome and amazing run far behind the Suzuki reps and other better riders than myself, however, I did get to the edge of the rear tire, so I'm happy...

I know Kevin's happy for me...I gave him a very rare front tire from Caesar. I sure hope the shop kept it to remember me by

I would be more concerned on choosing a tire by how it is going to handle for my riding style. Picking something on how it looks that is responsible on keeping me out of harms way is really not the right mentality.

I'd hate to buy a touring tire cause the thread pattern only to have it still looking good while the rest of the bike is wrapped around a tree cause it failed to perform around the hard turn I took!

WOW some cool pictures of your tires.

Mine isn't anything to "brag" about, but I made it home o0n it. (just barely)
It was a D-208 which would break loose every time I hit it in 1st or 2nd gear.
My new one is the Qualifier and it hooks in all the gears,,,Way cooler....

My rear tire has no tread; waiting for the new rim protectors to arrive...

Thanks for the photos, guys. I like some of the tread patterns, but certainly won't buy one if it is a poor quality tire. Some are certainly cooler looking than others!

The first time I saw the first Hayabusa I was in awe at how wide the tire is. That was one of the first visual things about the busa that really caught my eye, so I am partial to the way the tire looks.

That shinko "raven" reminds me of the busa "kanji". My buddy has one and his 190 looks like a 200. My 190 m3 looks small next to his raven. sad

I think it's a GREAT thread

Pretty cool to see the various patterns ... and why not buy it on looks? As long as the tire meets DOT regs (which it must to be sold), and you're not buying it for the track, who cares?

Yo, you might want to think about getting a new tire within the next couple hundred miles, or so. You know what they say "Safety First", !!! LOL !!
this was the result from to many dyno runs and way to many heat cycles. The tread just blew it self right off.
is that what they told you?

I would bet it was a defective tire.. heat cycles should never result in catastrophic failure like that... sure glad it was on a dyno and not on the road, things could have got really ugly... what tire was that?
