360mm back tire

I was watching the biker built off the other night, and they had a 360mm rear tire. Is it just me or does anyone else think this is getting out of hand. I believed he said he had to pay $15,000 to get a rim made to fit it. That is just crazy. I don't even think my a$$ is 360mm wide, and at 6'5" and 270lbs, I have a big a$$. What do you guys think, is 360mm the end or do you think we will see a 400mm one day?

5yrs ago, 22" dubs were the sh!t. now got 26" shat, I even saw 24" rims on a highly lifted 4X4 with 44" tires........


they always said it was "bigger is better". of course, I think that's got somethin to do with the 'little man' factor.

I watched that also the other night, thats nuts,that tire was massive and 15 g's for the rim was nuts but he's selling those bikes for 200 g's a pop.I got to say Matt Hotch builds awsome bikes in my opinion.

A buddy of mine was telling me about a 30" prototype he seen at Sema....specifically for hummers......this shid is gettin crazy.

Most people thought 300 was gonna be the end.......one more year and you'll see 400's gauranteed.

How about this:

Just make ALL rims to the size of the whole wheel assembly and add a 1in rubber coating for traction. Then you'd see 44in rims on a lifted truck!

1219 mm is about the widest you'd ever see on a bike, because it's half as wide as most cars. Some states won't let you use the carpool lane if you take up more than half the lane. Just think, no kickstands and no low sides!

There is a set of 28" rims out now for a h2 hummer.  The cool part is they dont even look guady since the truck is so massive as is,  kinda like twentys on a pickup truck big not not monsterous big.

A buddy of mine told me about those 44"wheels. Custom made and cost about $10 each, and of course had to have custom rubber made too.

This schit has to stop somewhere. People are just doin it now to say they did it,or to show how much money they can blow. They should redirect that money and helped an underpriviledged rider like me get a second bike to play with !!

My 20's do just fine for me, and i only paid $400 for the set used in good shape(the chrome peeled on one part of one wheel).
The rims were a blem set. Here they are.

with a tire like that ! pros , dont need a kickstand ,dont have to worry about bike falling over , and one more no matter how drunk you get you dont need to balance you could fall off that bike and it would stay up , someone could back into you in a parking lot and probably not knock it over > cons thirty five point turns ! the fear of givin it to much throttle goin into a turn and goin strait instead ! cost of tire replacement , im sure i left a few out on bolth ends ?

With a 360 rear you'd almost have to run a 180 front to balance out the proportions alittle. Either way 99% of the chopper guys don't even ride them for more than a trip to the local HD dealer or to the bar, and what's that, like 10-20min of riding?
