coolant temp gauge

I was wondering if anyone else has been having the same problem as I have. When I am cruising at any speed over 35 on a cool day/night, my temp gauge never stops going up and down. It takes about six seconds for it to go up to half, then down to one quarter(on the temp gauge). It never holds a temp, just fluctuates continuously. Just curious. Thanks

Check your coolant level, it might be low.

Mine has never done that. Yep - may be low coolant. ???
