Clicking noise from the gear box?

I just purchased my 2000 blue/grey Busa and has 500 miles on it and has not changed the oil, yet!
Upon starting the bike there is a loud clicking/knocking noise coming from the left side of the bike. The noise diminishes when the clutch is disengaged but returns when the clutch is engaged.
Is it the chain tensioner or ????
Is there a recall on the 2000 Busa for the chain tensioner problem?

Chain Tensioner noise would be coming from the right side upper if you are sitting on your bike.The noise you hear now is the clutch assembly unit since you said that the noise will go away when clutch lever is depressed. No problem here,happens on all Busas.Some people have cured the clutch noise problem by the first oil change or some people have removed the clutch unit and resoaked the clutch plates with new motor oil over night. Good Luck
