checking spark plugs

Im around 7k miles and tomorrow morning im going to check my plugs
anyone have any good pics of what good plugs should look like and a pics of what one looks like that should be changed?

attic: i don't have pics but the manual gives you a good description of what the various colours mean (white is running hot, etc).

Is 7K when you are suppoed to check them? I am approaching that and I have no idea what I might have missed maint-wise already. I did the 600 mile checkup at the dealer, a 3000 and 6500 mile oil change and regular chain maint, but thats it. Anyone?
