Chain Slack on extended swingarm

Does the stock chain slack spec apply equally to an extended swingarm? Got about 2.5 inches slack on an 8 inch stretch. I think the slack
should be the same regardless of the extension, but thought I would see if someone with a stretched bike could confirm before I tighten it up.

That seems like WAY too much slack man, I usually stay with about 1.5" max.

Too tight is not good, and neither is too loose. I stick to about 1in
