As far as I can tell, they did away with the pin on all '08's. I wonder why?

Because they really are not needed.

My 02 Busa hasn't got one, my 04 didn't have one, nowhere to put one.
My 07 B-King hasn't and neither had my 97 or 99 Bandit 1200's.
Can't think how long it is since I used one.

I think it must just be a paranoid legal US thing.
