Hey Guys

I have really broad shoulders and find myself only gripping about 1/2 the grip and the rest of my hand is sitting on the bar ends.

Is there anyway to get shorter bar ends to move the grips and throttle out a little further?

Would be ideal for me. Thanks

Not that I have seen, but you may be able to get some clip ons that are longer than what we have. Then you will have to modify them for the throttle tube and what not.

Do a search on grips, several options out there.

That raises not widens. I want a solution for this also as I find half of my hand off the grips as well.

The Helibars DO widen it, by about 1/2" they say.

Im looking for a little more, and dont have the $210 for helibars

Thanks

Well, I was going to suggest the LSR kit, but that is near $400 I think. Although, that would take care of your problem.

This may sound funny, but I bet if you were to replace the bar ends with just some kind of cap which would just hold the grip on, you would have your whole hand on grip. I'm just saying because I tend to find myself doing the same thing no matter which bike I am on, just seems to be some kind of subconscious thing that makes you want to have your hands out on the end of the bars. ??? Because even on the DRZ I find I do it also, and compared to the busa those bars would be considered ape hangers width instead of height. Don't ask me why, cause I haven't been able to answer it for myself. Unless your some kind of hulk which such a huge chest you have a hard time even clapping your hands. And if so...

Why can't you just use a longer pipe/clip on bar?
Wouldn't this spread them out? May have to adjust or get a longer cable or two but this may work, no?
