Ahhh Shouldve never sat on Dans spider ey?:laugh::laugh::poke:
I have a POS Harley sitting in my garage that my wife can't ride, should could ride a Spyder though and she would feel more comfortable on 3 wheels instead of 2 I think. And yes, I was impressed with Dan's ride. His is much nicer than the others that I have seen.

Some women complain about getting tired in the twisties to the point of having no fun. They do take a good bit more upper body strength to turn than a bike. I have also seen at least two of them try to run the 1/4 at the track . Both broke on the launch, might be something weak there. But, all of these observations are about two years old, things could have improved since then.

I have a friend here who has his second one and loves it. Before this he had a Goldwing, but because he has leg problems (hard to hold the Wing up at stop lights after a long ride) he bought a used Can Am. Kept it a year and bought a NEW YELLOW ONE. He loves it and according to him, so does his wife (by the way, he and she are in their 80's and ride all over the country ) :beerchug:

I've taken a few for test rides and I'll only get a spider once I'm handicapped and can no longer balance a bike.

I am told they have power steering available which should assist in the cornering. The nice one is $28K though, for that I could have a pretty nice convertible sportscar.

what's the main hang up on the spyder that makes em keep comin in for warranty work? I think they are slick lookin but I like to lean into a curve:laugh:

I think a lot of the early ones had problems with the E brake not releasing and the vacuum diaphragm on the clutch blowing up ??

I left a message for Scott yesterday and never got a call back. Guess you guys are really busy.

I wasn't here Saturday, but I did mention it to him. Apparently he was busy with customers after closing that day, but he will get back to you.

There were quite a few warranty updates or recalls on RT-S model(Touring). There are 3 out in services right now, but I think one of them is here because the owner doesn't know how to operate the CB Radio correctly

Honestly, probably better off google searching it to see. I don't think they were huge issues, but more or less just updates

A good friend of mine works for a stealership in service, and he mentioned they are in all the time for things breaking. Don't take my word for it, but I'd check it out. Might have been the earlier ones too, I don't know. I think they are kinda cool, but they really just look like a snowmobile with wheels to me. :beerchug:

Find a dealer that offers test drives for sure on this one. They look pretty cool, but from what I understand they are nothing like driving a motorcycle.
They have half the power and twice the weight of a busa, so if you're into any kind of acceleration for your thrills they're probably not the best choice lol

I'm a huge fan if it means more stability and comfort level for my wife. I'm still keeping the Busa.

My suggestion :::::::::::::::; GET WHAT THE WIFE WANTS :rulez: ! And maybe she'll let you keep the Busa  !

I can understand her dislike of riding in back on a Bike. It's got to get old, just leaning and always looking AROUND someones helmet and :please: you know what your doing :banghead:

I agree 100%

We've talked about maybe getting one for my wife some day. Good luck with whatever you decide.
