burns a little oil???

Just bought a new 05 busa and broke it in the suzuki way. after about 2700 miles i noticed that it was almost a quart low on oil. my first oil change was with mobil one gold cap and i know i filled it up to the mark when i changed it ... .....thanks in advance for any help !

When a new engine is breaking in it will use some oil until the rings are good and seated. I'm not sold on breaking in an engine the way the manufacturer says. I break in my bike more like the "motoman" breakin. Short hard moments of acceleration and deceleration is what seats the rings not babying the engine. I know this is after the fact for you. Have you done some hard accelerating and decelerating? Watch your oil close. Hopefully your oil consumption isn't as bad as you think.

I wouldn't get panicked about it, but I would take it back to the dealer. Should still be under warranty so let them check it out.
